Modern new marketplace in Cypress
It’s been roughly 40 years since development began in the rural area of Cypress, Texas. Now, this unincorporated community 24 miles northwest of downtown Houston is seeing explosive development. Between 2014 and 2018, Cypress had a 10.5% population growth, higher than both Harris County and the state of Texas. It’s exactly the type of place developer Williamsburg Enterprises targets for acquisitions.
Their new Cypress Marketplace retail center at US 290 and Barker Cypress embodies their approach. PRISM worked with Williamsburg on exterior renderings for their leasing package. Unsurprisingly, the 29,350 s.f. center only has two of seven units still available for lease.
Williamsburg incorporated green space into the heart of Cypress Marketplace. A central courtyard covered by a modern pergola will provide endcap tenants the opportunity to incorporate patio seating. The courtyard is large enough for ample seating around a grassy center, perfect for young children to run and explore. Trellises cover a large portion of the vertical walls around the courtyard to further soften the area. Landscaping extends to the front and borders a paved walkway that runs into the parking lot, creating a formal entrance. PRISM’s photorealistic renderings depict the aesthetic mature landscaping will lend the overall development.
