ULI Houston and Lynn Wyatt Square for the Performing Arts
Jing and Deborah enjoyed an exclusive members-only tour organized by ULI Houston, giving them a first look at the Lynn Wyatt Square for the Performing Arts, the vibrant new centerpiece of Houston's Theater District.
Roksan Okan-Vick, from Houston First, provided a detailed tour of this 1.5-acre space, featuring a flexible performance lawn, cascading water feature, and stunning gardens. The renovation aimed to activate and engage the community, with fascinating insights into the intricacies of building a garage beneath a park. Strategically placed trees and a unique accent color—inspired by Elton John's nickname for Lynn Wyatt, "The Yellow Rose of Texas"—added to the park's charm.
