March marks National Women’s History Month, a time to celebrate the achievements of women throughout history and recognize their contributions to society. This year, the National Women's History Alliance has chosen the theme "Women Who Advocate for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion," highlighting the pivotal role women play in advancing these essential values. Women from diverse backgrounds have long been at the forefront of efforts to combat systemic inequalities, igniting transformative change at every level of society.
Since 2019, PRISM has proudly supported The AIA Houston Women in Architecture committee, a group dedicated to advancing equality and inclusivity within Southeast Texas' architecture, design, and construction sectors. The committee's objectives are wide-ranging and include raising awareness of women's contributions to the built environment, creating a networking platform to celebrate their achievements, advocating for their leadership progression and industry diversity, addressing pertinent women-focused issues, fostering mentorship opportunities, and establishing partnerships with allied professional bodies for collective professional growth and development.
In 2024, we honor and pay tribute to those courageous women who tirelessly dismantle barriers, challenge biases, and work relentlessly to foster inclusivity for all. At PRISM, we take immense pride in our predominantly female workforce, many of whom are dedicated mothers. Guided by our visionary founder, Jing, we have embraced an inclusive business model that uplifts and supports working mothers.
