Thanksgiving brings the opportunity to pause, reflect, and express gratitude for the people and experiences that shape our lives. For centuries, it has symbolized community, collaboration, and the power of shared vision—values that resonate deeply in our industry.
As we embrace the season of giving thanks and inch closer to the end of the year, I’m filled with gratitude—for our clients, partners, team, the lessons we’ve learned, and the exciting opportunities ahead. Your trust, collaboration, and dedication continue to inspire and drive us forward.
Jing enjoyed attending the Perkins&Will San Antonio Office Celebration at Stable Hall in the vibrant Pearl District. It was a fantastic event, reconnecting with her former Houston colleagues and meeting the dynamic San Antonio team. Congrats to Adrianna Swindle, AIA, IIDA, LEED AP, on leading this stunning new studio—wishing you and your team great success!
Fashionista Chloe Dao from Project Runway returned with her latest collection at the recent CREW Houston Fashion Show and Membership Drive. Sarah and Deborah attended the event at The Summit, a stunning 28th-floor penthouse developed by Skanska and designed by Michael Hsu’s Office of Architecture. The venue offered panoramic views of Discovery Green Park, setting the stage for an evening of style, networking, and fun!
Nothing brings people together like pancakes, and at Pancakes with Primes, that’s exactly what happened. Jing and Deborah attended this successful event, connecting HUB participants with top prime contractors in Houston. Presented by B2G Victory and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the event offered valuable 1-on-1 meetings with estimators and project managers. It was a great morning of new connections, insights, and delicious pancakes.
Houston-based developer Epitome Development is investing big – the estimate is between $2 billion and $3 billon – on walkable communities ideally located near job centers around Austin. While keeping a low profile, Epitome’s leaders have literally traveled the world to understand the demand patterns driving location decisions for manufacturers. In Leander, 25 miles north of Austin, Epitome and partner Ashton Gray have identified the perfectly serene Hill Country setting for its latest residential development: Oakwood Hills. The team engaged PRISM to produce a vivid and immersive marketing animation.
Easton Park, one of Austin’s newest master-planned communities, is thriving and ripe for commercial investment. Partners Real Estate is driving this growth by leading the development of Easton Park Medical Center. It is a rare development opportunity to create a centralized healthcare hub for the underserved population of south Austin.
What fun it was to celebrate Opportunity U's graduation with Port Houston! Over the past ten weeks, I have had the privilege of participating in the Opportunity U program organized by Port Houston, and it has been an invaluable learning experience. The program was thoughtfully designed and structured, covering every aspect of how small businesses can engage with Port Houston. We had the opportunity to meet with the procurement team and several prime contractors who work with the Port. The camaraderie and support from fellow business owners in my cohort made this journey even more enriching.
Mention “ice house” to anyone outside of Texas and they may think you’re talking about an igloo. Texas ice houses of decades past kept perishables cold. Today’s ice houses are casual community spots for cold drinks and friendly gatherings. Kirby Ice House does socializing at Texas scale: big selection (50+ beers on tap), big indoor and outdoor space (over 20,000 s.f.), and plenty of parking (over 3-acres).
Heath, Texas, proudly promotes itself as a premier outdoor lifestyle community—and for good reason. Nestled on the eastern shore of Lake Ray Hubbard, just 25 miles from Dallas, this small city boasts two top-tier golf courses, a yacht club, and 17 miles of scenic hike-and-bike trails. Now, Heath is elevating its outdoor spaces even further with a renewed Towne Center Park. Construction is underway on the $12.8 million renovation, designed by Kimley-Horn. Visitors can expect an experiential destination for all ages. PRISM created the conceptual renderings to promote the project within the community.
