April President's Message
This past Saturday was a special day. I attended the 50th anniversary of the Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business and the Alumni Reunion 2024 while celebrating my birthday. It was fantastic to reconnect with fellow alums, hear Dean Peter Rodrigos's latest updates on new programs and the upcoming building expansion, and revisit the very classroom where my MBA journey began.
Embarking on the EMBA program 16 years ago was a pivotal turning point in my life, both professionally and personally. Coming from a non-business background, the program gave me a robust understanding of essential business principles instrumental in scaling my venture. Simultaneously, navigating the program's demands as a single mom to two young sons presented a significant challenge that tested and ultimately fortified my resilience and determination.
As a proponent of lifelong learning, I embrace the motto: "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." This guiding principle shapes the learning culture within our team, promoting daily growth and continuous improvement. It's not only beneficial to our clients, but to each individual's journey through life.
